The groups below show the trends in three boys’ and girls’ names which are currently popular in the UK

The trend for using similar names both gender are depicted in the line charts among British people between 1925 and 2000, over a 75-year period, and it is measured by thousands of people.
Overall, despite some fluctuations, the general trend for such names was upwards. Initially, more boys were born in the UK, but then this trend saw almost similar numbers at the end of the period.
The using of Daniel names for boys stood as by far the highest popular at just under 4 thousand people, and then the figure experienced dramatic growth by around 6 thousand of users in 1950. While the preference of Oliver names among males followed the same trend to just under 6 thousand people, the figure for Alexander for men and Emily for women saw a slight decrease over 25 years with a similar level.
The figure for males’ names saw erratic patterns, and while the users of Daniel names had fallen back to just under 10 thousand, around 1950 level, the number of Alexander names had surpassed the previous figure to about 11 thousand by 2000. Interestingly, the figure for Sophia and Emily for girls increased dramatically to a similar proportion in the last year, but the use of Alexander names for boys and Isabella names for girls were still as the least users during the period given.
