he chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates how the figure of minutes (in billions) of UK telephone calls varied in three categories which are local - fixed line, national and international - fixed line, mobiles (all calls) between 1995 and 2002.

To begin with, it can be clearly seen that there were more users who used telephone for local than others. Furthermore, it had been remaining steadily from 1995 to 2002. However, the gap between the number of local and others had been narrowing gradually until 2002.

Meanwhile, the figure of local was increasing at approximately 71 in 1995 and it had reached at 90 in 1999 eventually. It was also the biggest figure in the bar chart. On the other hand, it began to diminish in 2000 and it decreased by around 71 again. In contrast, there were only increase in the number of national and international, mobiles. The figure of national and international had risen up stably from about 36 to 61 between 1995 and 2002. The number of mobile also grew up consistently but this case was different a little. It had been rising up slightly until 1999 but it started to expand dramatically in 2000. Consequently, it reached by approximately 45 in 2002.

In conclusion, as time goes by, people began to prefer to use telephone for national and international calls and mobile calls. Thus, the number of mobiles and national and international had increased significantly.
