Holiday accommodation chosen by the British in 2010
The bar chart compares the figures of the British making a choice in four kinds of holiday accommodation, namely Self-catering, Caravan, Camping and Hotel in 2010.
Overall, the hotel was the most accommodation chosen in nations. Additionally, the percentage of people in Northern Ireland selecting Caravan was higher than those of other countries.
The rate of people in England choosing hotel for their holiday accommodation, at around 56%, was highest in 4 nations, while Scotland and Wales saw their slightly lower figures, 52% and 49% respectively. 30% of holiday makers in Scotland chose Self-catering, which was higher than those of England and Wales, but its figure for camping was lower than these two countries. It is noticeable that Wales was the only country the percentage of travelers selecting Camping was highest in the bar chart, at around 15%.
Turning to Northern Ireland, the figure of visitors opting Caravan was nearly three times higher than that of Scotland, at roughly 30%. Additionally, Self-catering and Camping in this country also had the same proportion, about 11%.
