The pie chart shows the comparison of five categories household budget allocation in UK and New Zealand in the year 1980 and 2008.

In 1980, 29% of New Zealand household budget used for food and drink, while in the same picture UK was spent 23% for their needs. By 2008, New Zealand requirement on food and drink increased slightly by 4%, and UK had fallen significantly to 13%. Whereas, There was spending utility bills in two countries were increased from 27% to 31% in New Zealand and 26% to 28% in the UK.

On the other hand, a slightly decreasing about spending leisure in New Zealand by 1% in 2008. Furthermore the proportion on leisure activities became the highest chart in the UK, the number of the chart was rose significantly from 27% in 1980 to 34% in 2008. Finally, as the lowest budget, the two countries spent the cost for transportation and others with the percentage around 10% and 15% of the total budget prepared.

In conclusion, the percentage about spending money in both countries on food and drink had fallen along years, although the allocation for the utility bills were increased differently. In the same picture, UK spent a higher number of the household budget than New Zealand for leisure activities.
