IELTS Academic Writing 10-3 Task 01
The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go into full-time work did after leaving college in 2008. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The charts compare the four situations (part-time work, volunteer work, further study, and unemployment) that graduate and postgraduate students were in after leaving college in the UK in the year 2008.
First of all, it has to be clarified that university students are ten times more than postgraduate students. It is noticeable that both had the tendencies to keep studying. In contrast, most of them did not tend to do volunteer jobs. Otherwise, compared to university students, post postgraduates were more willing to do part-time work.
With respect to the university students in the UK, a majority of them chose to continuously learn, amounted to 29,665. The number of part-time work and unemployment kept the same pace, recorded at 17,735 and 16,235 respectively. However, the voluntary work stayed at 3,500 students, which is relatively lower than other statistics.
As for the UK postgraduates destine, 2725 students opted to have further study. Also, a lot of them coincidentally choose to do part-time work, amounted to 2535 units. Otherwise, The number of unemployment was 1625, which was less around one in three amount than further-study students. When it comes to volunteer work, few college students wanted to do it.
