The illustration shows information about how igloo is build from snow.
The process provided depicts the procedure in which igloo is built from snow.
Overall, it is evident that the process consists of 5 stages, which commences at finding the source of hard-packed snow and culminates in covering the entrance hole with snow blocks.
As can be seen from the process given, the first stage is that hard-packed snow is found before being cut by the snow saw into several ideal snow blocks, which is about 15 inches high, 3 inches long and 8 inches wide. Large blocks are placed at the base in order to maintain the steadiness of the igloo, while the block, which is slightly over-sized, is used for the last opening on top. In the third stage, snow blocks are smoothed the edges and then they are placed in a circle building upward. Afterwards, a hole is dug under the wall which aims to create an entrance.
As far as the process is concerned, the following stage is that loose snow is shovelled onto the igloo with the purpose to pack it into all crevices. Then, the internal surface of the igloo is smoothed by hand and all the snow inside the igloo is also shoved out. In the last stage, a hole is dug in the shape of the desired entrance before being covered with snow blocks as a main door.
