The increase in the number of obese person is costing so much money to the health care system.
The increase in the number of obese person is costing so much money to the health care system. It is argued that the most viable solution to this problem is to add more sport education classes to the school curriculum. This essay completely agrees with the statement because it brings awareness to the younger generation and their families.
To begin with, obesity is one of the dangerous disorders among the young and old people which puts more strain on the health care services. Educating the children about the physical activities will improve their health and will be more effective when added in the curriculum. Physical education will add enormous benefit to health of school children such as reduced weight, sugar and pressure levels and help them to be attentive in class. A similar initiative in Japan resulted in almost 60% reduction in obese rate across school children.
On the other hand, educating and involving school going children in physical education not only benefits the youngsters but also their family members. The children would educate about the dangers of being overweight and the cost involved to the health care system. This will directly help in the reduction of obesity among elderly people. A recent survey has predicted that the obese rate would decline when people are educated by their own family members.
To conclude, increase in the number of overweight people can be significantly reduced by adding physical education classes in school and this would result in resolving the health issue and reduced health care cost.
