The line graph illustrates the proportion of people who used the internet in three countries: the USA, Canada, Mexico during the period from 1999 to 2009.
At first glance, it is clear that there was an upward trend in all three nations throughout the given period. In addition, the percentage of internet users in Canada was the highest in comparison with that of the USA and Mexico at the end of the period.
Looking at the detail, as regarding Mexico, the number of Internet users began at the lowest position in 1999 among three countries, at around 5%. This was followed by a considerable increase in remaining years, at about 25% in 2005 and only 40% in 2009, making it considerably lower than the others. Likewise, there was also a rapid climb in the proportion of Internet user in the USA, with 20% in the first year, the went up by around 50% in 2005 and got the second highest figure in 2009, at approximately 80%.
As for Canada, nearly 10% of Canadians used the Internet in 1999. The figure increased sharply in the same proportion as Canada in 2005 before reaching the high of 80% in 2009.
