Internet users as percentage of population
The given line graph illustrates the proportion of population that used internet in three different nations from 1999 to 2009.
Overall, the statistics of three countries increased over the whole period in the graph. In addition, the percentage in Mexico was always lowest.
In 1999, the proportion of internet users in the USA started at the highest point at 25%, that of Canada was at 15%, higher than Mexico which was at 8%. From 1999 to 2001, there was a significant rise in the number of people who used internet in the USA and Canada to 40% and 35% respectively, followed by a slight growth in that of Mexico to roughly 14%.
By 2003, people who used internet in Canada reached a peak at 60%, higher than the USA Mexico at about 45% and 25% respectively. In the last year of the period, the Internet users in Canada went up dramatically to the top at appropximately 97%, higher than the USA which was at 80%, accouting for 17%. In addition, the data of Mexico was the lowest at 30%.
