Internet Users as percentage of population
The line graph compares the percentage of people using Internet in three countries America, Canada and Mexico between 1999 and 2009.
It is clear that the trend of Internet users rose dramatically in each country over the period shown. Overall, a much larger percentage of Canadians and Americans had access to the Internet in comparison with Mexicans. Canada experienced the fastest growth in Internet usage.
In 1999, the proportion of Internet usage in the USA was about 20%, higher than other countries. The percentage usage of Mexico and Canada were lower, at about 5% and 10% respectively. Nonetheless, there were a significant rising of Canada and USA rose to around 70%, but Mexico was still lower, at about 50%.
In 2009, on the one hand the Internet usage of Canadian was highest and rose to nearly 100%. On the other hand, both of USA and Mexico percentage usage were around 95% and 60% respectively.
