It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behaviour to children?

Difference between right and wrong should be known by all the age people living in this world to lead good life throught their lifetime. Learing the difference between right and wrong in the early stage of life is significant. For children, parents and teachers plays the major role in teaching the good behaviour.

Now-a-days crimes and bad behaviour is getting increased in all the parts of the world. So it is predominantly important for the children to be aware of the right and wrong at the early eage. If something is learnt and followed in early stages of our life means we will follow it till our death. One famous proverb says that the habit die hard. It is obiviously true from my view and also some research also states that 90 out of 100 people will tend to follow the things which they practiced in their younger age. If they learnt the difference between right and wrong and followed the good at the early age means they will tend to follow it until the death and they will teach it to others too. It is the duty of the parents and teachers to teach it. Because at the younger age it will be tough to undestand the difference between right and wrong.

Punishment is also necessary to undestand the distinction. From the punishment they can understand that if they got the punishment for some of the behaviour means it is be wrong. But the punishment given by the parents and teachers should be harmless to them. Giving harmful punishment may spoil their mind. Punishments like reducing the TV time and play time in computers, playStations etc by the parents in home will make their time more productive. Instead of spending time in TV parents can ask them to help them in household activities. Teachers can ask them to run a lap around school, impositions, running, asking them to read some books to get good thoughts. However, there will always be other side for coin, childrens will tend to have a behaviour that if someone asked them not to do something means they will try to do. So must observe them carefully.

In conclusion, It is essential for the children to learn the right and wrong that too in the early age. parents and teachers are responsible to teach them. Always giving punishment is not necessary. Harmless punishment wil lead them in a good way
