The amount of visitors went to Pavilion was only 10% in 1980. This figure rose steadily to almost 50% from 1980 to 1995 before falling to about 30% in 2010. The similar trend was witnessed in the percentage visiting the Brighton Pier, which increased from about 12% in 1980 to 22% in 2010.
