The line graph shows the percentage of New Zealand population from 1950 and 2050
The line graph ilustrates the proportion of 4 different age groups of population from 1950 to 2050 in New Zealand.
It is clear that the number of people from 0-14 increased while over 65 and 25-37 dropped, the number of people from 38-45 flactuated over the period shown. The population growth of age over 65 was the highest figure while age 0-14 was the lowest figure. In addition, age 25-37 experienced the most significant change over that time.
In 1950, the number of people over 65 years old was the highest figure with 60%, followed by 35-48 ages comprised over 20%. The percentage of ages 25-37 was higher than the figure that of group 0-14 accounted 20% and 5% respectively, the percentage of people from 0-14 also was the lowest figure, only 1/12 of the higest figure.
In 2050, through many flactuation, the highest figure which was group over 65 will decrease, 5% off, accounting for 55%. The number of people from 35-48 years old will increase significantly with 38%, 18% higher than in 1950, this figure will in top 2. The number of people from 0-14 years old will be higher than the figure that of group 25-37 with almost 20% and 0% respectively.
