The manufacturing process of black tea.
The infographic depicts the manufacturing process of black tea. Interestingly, two methods - traditional and modern - are being used during the manufacturing process.
Primarily, workers, especially women, collect the fresh tea leaves from plants. However, only buds and 2 top leaves are collected by them in order to maintain the quality of tea. Later on, collected leaves pass through the withering process - in which, forcefully air passes from the tea leaves, which are placed on the rack. As a result of this process, approximately 60% moisture wiped out from leaves.
In next stage of the process, dried leaves are passed through either the traditional method or the modern method. In the traditional ones - leaves are passed through the rolling process and enzymes are released from it, at the end. Where in the modern method, leaves are processed via cutting method by which big dried leaves are transformed into the small granule pieces. Thus these any process can be used in between manufacturing procedure.
At last stage, rolled leaves or smaller granular species are spreaded on tiles in order to complete oxidation - sometimes known as fermentation. As consequences, turned copper coloured tea leaves are passed through firing process to remove 97% - almost -moisture. Not just this, flavour and aroma also released as a result of the aforementioned process. So this procedure is needed in order to get processed black tea from plants.
