map

The two pictures illustrate the layout of a small museum and its environs in 1990 and its changes in 2010
Looking at the maps, it is immediately clear that the principal changes to the museum area were the expansion of the car park and the establishment of a new café. The rest were almost unchanged over 20 year period.
In 1990, there was an L-shaped exhibition room opposite the entrance, 2 separated exhibition rooms on the left of the entrance, a restaurant, and a shop inside the museum. Outside the museum, there was a cottage on the left, a garden on the right, and a car park containing a garden on the opposite side of the entrance.
In 2010, a part of the L-shaped exhibition room had been flattened to make the way for the enlargement of the shop and 2 separated exhibition rooms were decided to be joint together. The garden in the car park had been demolished to give the way for the spreading out of the car park. A new café had been built on the original site of the cottage while the restaurant remained unchanged over a 20 year period.
