The map below shows the changes that have taken palce at the waterfront area of a town calles Darwin between 2009 and 2014.
The given maps illustrate how the waterfront area of a town called Darwin was transformed from 2009 to 2014.
Overall, it is clear that waterfront area had been greatly developed by the conservated of the industrial area into residential, recreational, and academic facilities. And another star feature is the appearance of harbour which improved the transportation of the area.
In 2009 majority of the town was industrial area which was then demolished to make room for a number of trees and buildings. In the North, the industrial area was destroyed to make new swimming pool, while there were no alterations to the school, convention centre, and two swimming pools. In the centre of the town the government have to built more with 3 residential buildings, next to the three previous ones. In addition, a university building was constructed to the west of the area.
With regard to access, in the seashore of the town, a harbour was constructed. There was also construction of a footpath which connected the newly constructed harbour with the main road in the West of the town. Meanwhile, the footpath which encircled the centre of the town witnessed no changes.
