The map below illustrates two different locations for building a supermarket in the town of Garlsdon named S1 and S2.
As it can be seen from the map, location S1 is on the west side of the countryside, which is noticeably spacious. In contrast, position S2 is placed in the middle of the town centre and also surrounded by the industry area and housing estate.
In the west of the countryside, area S1 has efficient transportation links as it is between the railway and the main roads. The most significant pro of this location for constructing is that its capacious space as it is placed in the countryside. Unfortunately, building a supermarket on this site may not be a good choice due to its inadequate population in the nearest area (10,000).
Meanwhile, location S2 is lying right in the centre of the town which can effortlessly attract both the residents living in the nearby housing estate and tourists. In addition, this position is also surrounded by the industry area, therefore there are definitely a lot of workers which means sales would not be a worry. However, noise does be a problem since there is a railway in front of position S2.
