The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps represent present layout and future development plan of Islip town center.
It's clear that in the future, this town center will undergo significant changes including constructions of a dual carrieageway and a new pedestrian road.
At the present, two housings are located opposite each other and two shops, between which lies a main road. The park is posited in the southeastern of the town center to the southwestern of which a school is built.
It's noticeable that a main road will be converted into a dual carriageway leading directly to a new housing. In the north of the town center, bus station, shopping center, car park and a new housing will be opened up, opposite which are a range of shops. Current housing will be moved slighly to the west and south and another new hosing will be constructed to the east of a current housing. Both a curren park and school will remain their original sites but will undergo changes in terms of shape.
