The maps depict the heart of a little town named Islip, currently and ideas for its renovation. From an overall perspective, the plans focus on developing the infrastructure of the town mainly enhancing the roads connecting it.
Proceeding to a more detailed observation, it can be noted that, the main road will instead be turned in to a specialised area for walkers. However, stores located south of the main road will remain unchanged. But, on the opposite side of the road, the shops and the country side will be demolished and further be replaced by a bus station, a shopping mall, a parking and a new housing area, in which will have a specialised subsidiary route derived from the updated road knot.
In addition, the park will be slightly narrower, giving space for the built up of the dual carriageway that will take place. Nevertheless, a new residential area, west of the park, right beside the existing one will be constructed, making them three places of accommodation on the southern side of the town. It can also be seen that enhancements on the building of the town’s school are very minor.
