As we can see from the scheme above, we have two representations from the centre of Islip city. Firstly, are represented the structures that can be found in the town at the present moment. While in the second picture is possible to observe the plan for future implementations.
First of all, the current map reveals that the town is near to the countryside, have several shops, a school, houses and a park to the south. The main road go through the centre between the shops.
Generally, some buildings are going to remain after the improvements, specially on the south, as the school, houses, some of the shops and also the park, although the latter will be reduced in size.
Regarding the accessibility, roads will be larger, with two lanes and a huge roundabout will be created surrounding the city centre, because the main road that exists today, will cease to exist. No cars will be allowed in the centre so people can walk freely.
Some new structures will by added as the Bus station in Northwest of town, on its right will be constructed a new shopping centre with place to park the costumers automobiles. To the north-east new houses are planned to be made, just north to the park. On the south less changes are going to be made, as previously mentioned, with exception of the road and also the new habitation area that also will be improved.
