The maps below illustrate the change of Islip town at the moment and plans for its future. It can be clearly seen that the countryside will disappear and there will be more facilities in the forecast map.
According to the first map, at the moment, the main road run through the town with shops in two side while the countryside located in the North of the main road. In addition, there is a park in the East whereas a school in the West of the town and many accommodations between them.
Meanwhile, in the planned development, the two biggest changes is, there will be no more countryside and the main road, the town will be surrounded by an oval dual carriageway. Moreover, many facilities will be added like bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing for residents, by contrast the school will not change the location. Furthermore, people can go jogging or walking on the pedestrians only at the center of the town.
