The maps below show the changes in a town after the construction of a hydroelectric power dam
The pictures demonstrate a number of significant alterations which took place in a town after the building of a hydroelectric power dam between 1990 and 2010.
From the maps, it is clear that the most noticeable changes between two years is about the river separated by the hydroelectric dam. Several features of this area are disappeared as well as updated news facilities.
Let’s have a look at the maps, there was a long river spreading from the north to the south which was surrounded by age-old structures, rare plants and animals, and irrigated farmlands in 1990. However, ten years later, all of these features faded away and were replaced by a big lake where residents could fish and boat.
Looking at the maps in more detail, the villages used to be located to the east of the town. However, this settlement was moved to the south and closed to the river in 2010. Having said that, there are some updated facilities like a hotel and there were a number of electric pylons had been constructed.
