The maps below show the town of Honeybourne in 1990 and today.
The two maps are juxtaposed to show how Honeybourne, a small town, changed from the start of 20th century to present time.
Overall, aforementioned town witnessed dramatic changes during this period in terms of natural and artificial entities. Most of the natural aspects of the town, such as forest, river and farmlands, have significantly declined; while, man-made structures, such as roads, buildings and facilities, have proliferated during this time.
During the first establishment in 1900, the settlements, infrastructures and agricultural lands were mostly sorrounded by forests which along with river have witnessed negative effect of urbanization. Furthermore, the oval shaped town center and establishment-- whose size have increased presently-- existed at the center sorrounding the farmlands, which, presently, is exterminated entirely for providing space for further settlement. The number of schools have increased while, intrestingly, number of church remained same (one only) comparing both the maps; moreover, new settlements, which was absent previously, have been formed at eastern side of outskirt of the town. The town which was connected by a curved highway parallel to the river with a bridge near the town center has made improvement in transportation sector as number of bridge have increased ,and a new railway station has been constructed, while road alignment remained same.
