Nowadays celebrities are mainly famous for their glamour and wealth than for their achievements, and this sets a bad example to young people. To what extent do you agree and disagree?
In this day and age, it is said that celebrities are often well-known for their glamorous and luxurious lifestyles instead of their accomplishments and they are setting terrible examples to youngsters. While I partly agree with this notion, I still believe that some people are famous for their achievements and they are becoming ideal models so that teenagers can follow.
To begin with, a number of well-renowned people do not have the qualities that they should have had, which affects badly laddies. From time to time, many celebrities waste their money and time on awful things. They buy and wear clothes that have weird shapes, they tatoo everywhere on their body or they change their hair into a new and terrible style. Furthermore, they often glamorize impolite and illegal behaviours such as swearing, drinking alcohol, driving too fats, engaging in drug use. Others can have complex personal life or relate to sexual scandals. As a result, teenagers will emulate them as well as start doing everything that their idols often do including bad things. It means that a huge negative impact is put on the teenagers.
On the positive side, a lot of celebrities are really famous for their own talent and they are setting good examples of how to have and act. For instance, Katy Perry is a very well-known singer, not only for her accomplishments but also for her helpful social activities. She travels around the world raising fund to help poor and disadvantages children. A large number of African children have had opportunity to go to school, many African areas have escaped from poverty by virtue of her help. Moreover, she is also an ideal model of effort and determination to succeed in job for every young people to follow. Her good deeds are perfect examples that can have a positive influence on young generations.
To sum up, besides good famous people, there are some people are still bad examples for youngsters to imitate. Teenagers should aware of what and who they should follow to become better people.
