Overall, it can be seen that South America was by far the most popular country producing coffee, while European were the highest consumer of coffee. In addition, the majority of profits in this industry go to the shippers.
Turning to the detail, Southeast America came first with 44% whereas Oceania came last with only 2% of the proportion of coffee production. Africa manufactured coffee was relatively the same as that of Asia and Central America, at 19%, 18% and 17%, respectively. Meanwhile, European consumed 55% of coffee consumption which was double that of other regions (27%). North America made up 11% of the percentage of coffee produced in comparison with only 7% of the total in Japan.
In terms of profit distribution, shippers were by far the greatest beneficiaries, accounting for 55% of total profit. A quarter of the total was seen in the seller sector, while explorers and producers gain the same proportion of profit (only 10%).
