The pie charts give information about how adults spent their time on various daily activities in a particular country between 1958 and 2008.
In general, adults consumed most of their time working and sleeping, while other interests and playing sports were the lowest. It can be seen that all categories of activities had an increase on the chart, except sleeping and gathering family and friends.
In the first year, working was the highest percentage of people spent on, and 1% more than the figure for sleeping, at 33% and 32%, respectively. There was a slight climb to 9% in the proportion of working, while sleeping time declined dramatically by 7% in 2008. 4% of the daily time adults consumed relaxing at home was less in 1958 than in 2008.
In 1958, the amount of time spent on other interests and playing sports was three times as much as commuting to work. Commutes to workplaces saw the most significant change, quadrupling from 2% to 8%.
