The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The four given pie charts compares and contrasts data on the changes in the amount of electricity produced by five different fuel sources in Australia and France over a twenty-one-year period from 1980 to 2000.
A general look at the four diagrams highlights the fact that the total electricity production in Australia and France increased over the mentioned period. Besides, electricity was generated from more sources in France than in Australia.
Getting back to the details, France's total production experienced a twofold increase, from 90 units in 1980 to 180 units in 2000, and thus surpassed that of Australia. Besides, in 2000, while electricity in Australia mainly came from coal with the statistic of 130 units, the majority of France's electricity was created thanks to nuclear power with the figure of 126 units. It is also worth noting that the statistics of electricity generated from coal in France in both 1980 and 2000 were exactly the same with the number of 25 units.
