The pie charts below shows the spending of a school in the UK from 1981 to 2001.
The supplied pie charts delineates the percentage of a school's budget spent on insurance, teacher's salaries, furniture and equipment, resources, and other worker's salaries in three different years in the UK.
A glance at the three charts reveals that highest part was spent on salaries of teachers whereas least amount was contributed to insurance. In addition, while spending on paying other workers have reduced from 1981 to 2001, for furniture and equipment it was uplifted.
Now turning to details, in 1981, amount dedicated to pay salaries to teachers as well as other workers was slightly less than three-fourth of the total spending. Resources such as books and furniture and equipment were both given 15% each. Finally, remaining 2% was spent on insurance.
During the year 1991 and 2001, half of the total school expenditure was on tutors' wages while approximately one quarter was on other employees' wages and insurance combined. On the other hand, the percentage of budget on furniture and equipment was merely 5% in 1991 which rose to 23% in 2001. Conversely, resources were given 20% in 1991 before reducing to only 9% in 2001.
