The presented pie charts reveal people's interest in five different social networking sites between 2011 and 2013.
Overall, apart from the percentage of people considering Facebook as their favorite social media channel, the other figures all underwent an upward trend. In addtion, Facebook was recorded to be the most popular choice over 3 years.
In 2011, at a staggering 59%, the percentage of people voting for Facebook was the highest figure in the chart. Then, 2 years later, this figure gradually decreased by 21%. Conversely, with 21% of voters in the beginning of the period, the figure for Twitter witnessed a slight increase to a quarter in 2013.
Considering the other categories, in 2011, the proportion of people opting for Linkedln was 10%, which was twice as much as the figure for Google+ and Pinterest as well. Over the next 2 years, while Linkedln and Pinterest just experienced a very slight rise to 15% and 8% respectively, the percentage of users considering Google+ as their favorite social media site tripled, with 14% in 2013.
