The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The two maps illustrate the structure of public park during year 1920 and as of today. We will discuss about the changes or advancement made through the period of decade. It is seen that all the rose gardens and seats which were around the Grange Park have now been brought into center of the park. Also, it is noted that the children’s play area and cafe is constructed in the park.
Firstly, we will discuss about the developments that have been made to the left side of entrance. It is noted that no changes have been made on the entrance of the park. While, the fountain at center is now replaced by a large rose garden compared to small gardens spread across, earlier in 1920. Additionally, the seating area is built across all four sides of rose garden. One of the major changes today from 1920 is that a huge Amphitheatre along with stage and large number of seating’s erected for shows, which replaced the stage of musicians.
Secondly, the Café is introduced immediately towards the north-east of garden for adults and children who come to visit the park. Furthermore, the pond for water plants is now demolished and a play area for children is built in its place. The water feature and underground car parking is also included in the garden.
Overall, many facilities have been included as of today for people to spend a quality time in Grange Park.
