The given bar graphs illustrate the percentage of computers owned by individuals and the distribution of computer ownership by educational level between eight-year period; from 2002 to 2010.
Overall, we can see that number of computers owned by people increased year on year. In both years, people with post graduate degree had highest number of computers, while those with no high school diploma possessed the least number of systems. Additionally, for each level of education, the percentage of number of computer owners were less in 2002 compared to those in 2010.
In 2002, only around 55% of total population used computers, which slightly increased by 5% and stood at 60% in 2004. Similarly, in every two year the number of people having these devices with high operational and computational abilities increased by approximately 5%. Finally, by 2010, the highest number of people owned personal computer, the figure reached slightly above 70%.
On the other hand, for all the categories of qualifications, the difference in percentage of computer ownership from 2002 and 2010 ranged between 20 to 30%. For Postgraduate qualified individuals the figure of ownership percentage stood at approximately 93% and 75%, for the year 2010 and 2002, respectively. The huge difference in number of ownerships from 2002 to 2010 was noted in individuals with no high school diploma, high school graduate and students going to college – around 30%.
