Overall, coffee prices rose in all cities but Brisbane. More specifically, Melbourne saw the largest surge in its coffee pricing, while Canberra saw the least. Moreover, Sydney coffee remains the most expensive in both years.
While the price for a coffee cup in Brisbane remained at a constant 2.25 dollars between both years, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth all experienced an increase of 0.2, 0.5, 0.27, 0.13, and 0.15 dollars each. Melbourne and Canberra encountered the largest and smallest increases relative to their pricing at 20.8% and 6.25%, respectively.
Meanwhile, coffee prices in Sydney remained the most expensive across six cities, costing 2.9 dollars in 2010 and 3.17 dollars in 2014.
