process chart
The process chart illustrates the information of recycling process of aluminum cans. This is the seven step process and there is no major equipment used in this process.
Firstly, from the diagram it can be seen that there is separate dustbin needed to collect used cans, thus it is easy to collect aluminum cans. After then, the collection of cans has been done by trucks and transported to the factory. Furthermore, this cans are first shorted and then cleaned, after cleaning, this cans are passed through in machine where cans are shredded and compressed to make small blocks. In the next step, this cans are passed through heating process, due to heat cans are melted and turned into liquid while, this liquid is collected in one bucket.
Secondly, this liquid aluminum is converted into roll and the thickness of this aluminum is 2.5 mm to 6mm. moreover, from this aluminum roll, cans have been made and it called “recycled cans”. Additionally, these cans are reused for soft drink and labeled it. After them this cans to be sold to public. In UK, 74% aluminum cans are recycled.
Overall, this process is very simple with no big machinery.
