PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRICITY IN 2014 - IELTS 13 TEST 3
The bar graph illustrates the generation and utilization of electricity in billion kilowatts of the highly ranked ten nations in 2004.
Overall, the production had a slightest increment than the consumption in China, Russia and Korea, whilst other nations except Germany had some differentiation. Germany however, had greater consumption than production.
Production and consumption of the electricity had a minimal difference in china, the first country to be on the list with former being 5398 and the later 5322 billion kilowatts. Likewise, the third country on the list Russia had a difference of 13 billion kilowatt and last nation, the Korea Republic had the slightest difference of around 36 billion kilowatts in their production and the consumption of electricity.
The United States, on the other hand, generated 4099 billion kilowatts of the electricity out of which 3666 billion kilowatts was consumed. Similarly, fourth country Japan had a marginal difference whereas India had the production of 871 billion kilowatts and the consumption of 698.8 billion kilowatts. Canada, France and Brazil had a similar trend however, Germany only stands to be a nation to consume (582.5 billion kilowatts) more electricity than it can produce (526.6 billion kilowatts).
