Summarize the table below

The given table describe the changes in 8 modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000

Overall, it is important to note that more distances were covered in the year 2000 as opposed to the year 1985 and people travelled more by car between the given years.

To begin, in year 1985, 3199miles were covered per person using car and it Increased steadily to 4806miles per person in the year 2000, accounting for the highest distance covered in the given table. In contrast, the least distances were covered using bicycles and taxis ( 51 and 13 miles per persons respectively) in 1985, while 41 miles per person was covered using bicycles and 42 miles per person was covered using taxi still accounting for the least on the given table.

Furthermore, in year 2000, people trekked 18miles lesser than they did in year 1985, whereas those travelling by long distance buses rose drastically by covering 70miles more in year 2000 compared to year 1985. In addition train commuters increased steadily covering a distance of 289 miles and 366 miles per person in the year 1985 and 2000 respectively.
