The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901

The table illustrates the amounts of workers and manufacturing in two countries over a 50 years. Overall, it can be seen that the number of workers men or women had decreased from the first period until the end. Meanwhile, the manufactory had a fluctuating amount.

To be specific, in the first-period men employees had a bigger amount than women with total 477,100 which is the hugest number in total workers table. Ten years after that, the female workers had decreased 30,000 people whereas, the male had significant decreased which had fewer employees than the female. In 1861 to 1901, two types of workers showed loss amount which men’s table had a bigger number than the women.

However, in manufacturing table showed different trend start from the first period they had 225 factories, one decade after they add 2 manufactories. It had noticeably increased until 1881 and illustrated the diminution amount until the end of the period stopped at 600 factories.
