The table below gives information about changes in modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000.
Describe the information in the table and make comparisons where appropriate.
The table below provides information about different modes of transportation in England in years 1985 and 2000. Four modes, walking, bicycle, local bus and other transportation system declined in the year 2000 in contrast with the year 1985, and on the other hand using of car, long distance bus, train and taxi have risen after the year 1985. Overall, total distance regardless of any modes increased in the year 2000 by comparing with 5 years before.
The second column of table is showing that the most popular transportation system is related to car, and taxi is the last selection for travel in England. As the table illustrates, there is a marginal difference between using bicycle and long distance bus.
The third column shows that the maximum usage has been for car as well as the year 1985. It seems that taxi and bicycle have been less popular than other transportation modes and there is a few difference between these two. However, the bicycle selection for transportation had the last place among others, and there was a huge and drastic difference between using car and using bicycle in the year 2000.
