The table shows the number of speakers of six languages in three categories as well as native speakers, additional language and the total number of speakers.
Overall, it is noticeable that the total number of speakers in Mandarin Chinese is strikingly higher than the other languages with 1,090 million speakers.
Over 1,000 million speakers in the world speak Mandarin Chinese language. Meanwhile, the number of native speakers speak this language with 900 million. Besides, people speak at least about 339 million which is very lower than the number of speakers in the world which is at around 942 million, it put the second position following to the total number of speakers learn Mandarin Chinese language.
The number of second language learners is at around 603 million who speak English. Additional, Portuguese is spoken by 10 million speakers. Moreover, the number of people speak the Portuguese language in the table which is very lower than in other languages.
