Overall, the percentage of food, drink and tobacco accounted for the largest in all countries, as opposed to leisure and education, which had the least proportion. Besides, Turkey was the country which had the overall percentage higher than other contries.
As can be seen from the table, Turkey had the highest percentage of food, drink and tobacco with 32.14 percent as well as leisure and education with 4.35 percent, which was twice as much as the Ireland one. The proportion of food, drink and tobacco was 28.91 which made it the second highest in all countries. The percentage of clothing and footwear of Ireland was 6.43 which was almost same as Turkey.
In contrast, Italy was the contry which had the highest propotion of clothing and footwear with 9 percent while this proportion of Sweden accounted for the lowest with 5.40 percent. The percentage of leisure and education of these two countries was nearly similar with 3.20 percent for Italy and 3.22 percent for Sweden. The percentage of leisure and education that consumer spending in Spain was the lowest with 1.98 percent, as regards the percentage of food, drink and tobacco in Sweden with 15.77 percent.
