Overall, It can be seen that the stats of imprisoner in the United States and Canada are relatively higher than other countries. While, The imprisoner rate in Great Britain was least.
In 1930, Whopping one lakh twenty thousand people had a jail in Canada. However, The number of incarceration were similar in United States and New Zeland, Which is 1 lakh. In Australia more than 60,000 people went in lock-up. In comparison to New Zealand half of the community of Great Britain had a jail.After a decade these figures suddenly rose up to 1,30,000 in United States. Meanwhile, In Canada and NEW Zeland the incarceration rate decresed by 10,000 and 50,000 respectively. Nevertheless, Great Britain did not experience any change. Between 1950 and 1960 the rate of imprisoned rate were nearly 1 lakh in U.S and Canada. On the other hand, It remained below 70,000 in remaining three countries.
After a 5 decades in Great Britain, Australia and New Zeland, The number of incarceration were same which is approximately 70,000. While, This trend fallen by about 10,000 each in Canada and United States. In the year of 1980 the figures of prisoner plummeted to almost 1,40,000 in America. While, In NewZeland, Canada and Great Britain stayed on nearly 90,000. However, IN Australia this rate reduced to 50,000 in last year.
