the table below shows the number of vehicles registered in Autralia in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
The table gives detailed information about how many vehicles registered in Australia in the years 2010, 2012 and 2014.
Overall, it is noticeable that there experienced an upward trend in the number of all different types of vehicles over the shown period. In addition, passenger vehicles were the most by far popular ones in comparison with others while the percentage change of motorcycles was relatively high.
In 2010, passenger vehicles stood at 11 million, followed by the figure for commercial vehicles, at 2.3million. Over the years, the quantity of these two vehicles registered witnessed a significant increase to 13 million and 2.7 million in 2014, a rise of 18.2% and 17.4%, respectively.
Turning to the remaining vehicles, 570.000 motorcycles, 384.000 heavy trucks and 106.000 light trucks were used in Australia in the first of the year. After that, the data for motorcycles rose constantly to 745.000, an increase of 30.7% indicating the greatest growth. Likewise, there was a dramatic change of heavy trucks and light trucks to 423.000 and 131.000 at the end of the period. However, the percentage change of light trucks was rather considerable with 23.5% compared to its figure of 10.2% of heavy trucks.
