The table and pie charts illustrate how many people visited the Ashdown Museum as well as their satisfaction degree after the visit in the year before and after it was refurbished.
Overall, the number of visits increased after the refurbishment. While half of visitors were not pleased with their experience in the first year, after the museum was refurbished three-quarters of those surveyed answered positively.
During the year before the refurbishment, the number of people who visited the museum amounted to 74.000. When surveyed, one in ten reported that were very dissatisfied, and up to two-fifths said that their visit had been unsatisfactory. By comparison, 15% of visitors had enjoyed considerably their visit, and nearly a third said that they were happy to have come. Only 5% of those surveyed refused to respond.
Turning to the year after the museum was improved, the number of visitors had grown to 92.000. The percentage of very satisfied and satisfied people increased significantly to 35 and 40, respectively. In contrast, 15% of visitors disliked their visit and 5% were very disappointed. The proportion of people who did not want to answer remained unchanged.
