Overall, it can be seen that almost the youngest people choose to cycle, especially women, while middle-aged men cycling had the lowest percentage over males.
As per the table, the cycling rate in the 2 genders was the most popular among the 0-9 age group, which comprised more than half of the town’s population. By contrast, females and males in middle age were not as preferable as young people, only 13,7% and 9,3% respectively.
Turning to these other categories, the number of bicycle riders in the 10-19 age group with the second highest proportion irrespective of gender, with 43,6 of females using bicycles compared to 25,1% of men. In addition, the group in 20-39 of 2 genders was less common and continued to decline sharply, 18,2% and 10,8% respectively. Finally, in the oldest age category of over 60, only 19,8% of women and 14,6% of men used bicycles.
