The given table illustrates the difference in the cost per coffee cup considering 6 different areas in Australia between 2010 and 2014.
As can be seen from the table, the price of per coffee cup in Australia witnessed a considerable increase during the 4-year period. Melbourne holds the first position with 20.8% change in the value, followed by Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane.
Considering the data of Sydney, it is visible that the price per cup of coffee in this city remained the highest among the mentioned city, from $2.8 in 2010, it was then on a sharp increase to $3.17 in 2014, a total 13.2% disparity in cost. At the same time, even though Sydney has the most significant price adjustment, its coffee cup value in 2014 was still lower than that of Sydney, at $2.9 only.
When it comes to coffee expenses in Brisbane and Perth, it is worth noticing that Brisbane’s value per coffee drink was slightly higher than that of Perth in 2010, at $2.25 and $2.1 respectively. After 4 years, surprisingly, residents in these two cities had to pay the same amount of money for coffee on the ground that there was no alteration in the data of Brisbane but a 7.1% growth in Perth’s statistic. At the same period, Canberra and Adelaide had modest rise in theirs cost per cup of coffee, only 6.25% and 6.95% respectively, they coffee cup price are also the least in comparison with the other.
