The table below shows the worldwide market share of the notebook computer market for manufacturers in the years 2006 and 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The supplied table presents information about the market percentage between the years 2006 and 2007.

In the given period, the HP company reached the maximum in the total market share in both years, first touching the 31.4% and then the overall maximum, 34 %. The second-highest seller was the Dell company, which has around half of HP’s market percentage in selling. Anyhow, it experienced the most significant improvement among all the listed companies, with a 4 point increase in 2007.

The other companies had less than one-third of HP’s market number each. For instance, Acer slight declined in the period under study, moving from 11.6% to 10.7%. Conversely, Toshiba moved up its sales of the same percentage lost by Acer, while Lenovo company had a mild reduction in its ratio, passing from 6.2% to 6.6%. However, Fujitsu-Siemens showed the worst downward trend, loosing precisely 2.5 percentage points.

Finally, the remaining companies owned little more than one-fifth (22.8%) of the total market share in 2006. This number fell to 19.3% in the subsequent year.
