In addition, in the following 20 years, the overall trend of workers and both men and women declined of a three-fold was observed, while factories rose over 600 in 1871.
Furthermore, between 1881 and 1901, the overall trend of factories fluctuated between 620 and 710, accounted for 623 at the end. The initial figure of people showed decline drastically to 13,375 and 25,567 for male and female ones respectively, which was a reason for the decrement in the total number of workers (38,694) in 1901.
