the tables below give information about sales of Fairtarde-labelled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries
The two tables compare the consumption of Fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas in UK, Swizerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden in the years of 1999 and 2004.
Overall, the sales of both coffee and bananas saw an obvious increase in those countries with different range, without Sweden and Denmark which consumed less bananas from 1.8 millions of to 1 million, from 2 million to 0.9 million respectively.
The amount of coffee sales rise in all the five countries from 1999 to 2004. There was the most dramatic increase in the total sale of coffee in UK, from 1.5 millions of euros to 20 million, and the number almost timed 15. Additionally, the number of the coffee selling in Swizerland arise from 3 to 6. There was a slight increase in the other three countries, 0.2 millions,0.7 millions, 0.2 millions seperately.
Swizerland experienced the biggest increase in the sales of bananas in 2004, and the number had changed from 15 to 47. UK also saw a up trend from 1 to 5.5 in the year of 2004. However, there was a minor decrease in Sweden and Denmark, which was 0.8 millions and 1.1 millions respectively.
