The two tables provide information about sales of Fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas in five European countries of two years: 1999 and 2004. In general, over the gap of 5 years from 1999 and 2004, the sales of both the products increased.
More specifically, the sales of coffee in UK increased from 1.5 millions to 20 millions, and this is the highest amount of coffee sales among the five European countries. Whereas, the lowest amount of sales increased occurred in Sweden from .8 millions to 1 millions. Furthermore, Switzerland was the most dominant country of bananas sales where it increased from 15 millions to 47 millions. Additionally, of all the sales of both coffee and bananas, only in two instances, it decreased from 1999 to 2004, it was in Sweden and Denmark, in banana department.
Interestingly, coffee and bananas sales in Sweden were identical in 2004 which was 1 million. Moreover, the sales of Denmark had a somewhat peculiar pattern, as coffee sales were 2 millions in 2004 and bananas sales were also 2 millions in 1999.
