Two pie charts below show the online shopping sales for retail sectors in Canada in 2005 and 2010
The percentage of retail goods sold in Canada’s online markets in 2005 and 2010 is provided in the pie charts. It is evident that the sales in electronics and appliance as well as home furnishings decreased gradually while the sales of food and beverages plus video games tended to increase in 5 years.
Starting at 35%, the products of electronics and appliance sector became the most purchased in 2005, however, it fell to 30% 5 years later, stood at the second place in 2010. The home furnishings’ sales were inferior to electronics with 25% of goods sold at the beginning of the period, and dropped 10% at the end.
In contrast, an increase was shown in Food and Beverages category also the video games. Stood at 22% in 2005, the F&B sales in Canada became the highest in 2010. The video games figure also climbed slightly with 23% in 2010, a rise of 5% in 5 years.
