The diagram illustrates the processes of how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collect information related to weather so as to produce reliable forecasts.
Based on the diagram, it can be seen that there are three ways to get the weather information which include the information from satellite, radar, and drafting buoy. These sources enable the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to analyse and forecast the weather. In the step of analysis and forecasting, the observation is made based on the satellite photo, radar screen, and synoptic chart. The personnel of the bureaucracy will have to predict the temperature and the type of weather by observing whether there are many clouds in the sky or it is going to be a sunny day. After that, the detailed analysis and forecast of the weather will be written using a computer and the report of the forecast is then ready to be broadcast in multimedia such as television newsreader, radio and recorded announcement.
To sum up, there are three main steps in producing a reliable weather forecast. It is important that weather forecast be as accurate as possible so that people have some preparations such as bringing umbrella if it is predicted to be rainy day and so on.

The provided diagram
The provided diagram illustrates how the data received from three different sources are used by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology in order to generate reliable weather data. The diagram also includes the communication mediums used by them for broadcasting.
According to the diagram, the Meteorology department uses three different information sources namely, satellite, radar, and drifting buoy. Next, the information received from these sources is analyzed in order to forecast future weather conditions. This step consists of three main parallel processes. The first process involves the analysis of the satellite image received from the satellite. Next includes the analysis of radar screen data which are collected from the radar station. The final process involves the analysis of the synoptic chart generated from data collected from all the sources. After the analysis and forecasting step, the forecasted weather information is preparing for the broadcasting at the computer workstation.
Finally, the forecasted weather information is broadcast to the public through TV, radio and as recorded announcements.
